3. We have very low unemployment and the city is creating jobs at faster than we can fill them. If anything slows Alberta's pace it will be a shortage of people to complete all the projects. This will put the brakes on the economy, but the upside is that we'll have a longer more predictable run.
4. We have a diversified economy with many major employers. This one is very important; places that boom due to natural gas exploration, a housing boom, and pure speculation are always prone to the boom and bust cycle. We don't have that risk in Calgary due to diversification and long-term capital investment.
5. We have great lifestyle here. People love living in Calgary.
6. People here earn an incredible average income and we have a far higher than average amount of disposable income.
7. Construction costs are on the rise which makes existing property more valuable.
8. Vacancy levels are still at all time lows.
9. Housing still remains affordable based on the average income compared to most major centers in Canada and around the world.
10. Construction and infrastructure is still being developed anticipating explosive growth.
11. Major employers are relocating corporate offices and shipping centers to Calgary.
It is plain to see that the stars are aligned for investing in Calgary, will you be looking back saying "I should've bought when they were cheap in 2008" or will you be looking back saying "I'm really happy that we took action in 2008"?
